Substance addiction is drug addiction in its many courses. It is the abnormal pathological condition of the person due to excess drug use. It can be in form of sniffed substances or injectibles. Morphine, reknomar penic, shabu, marijuana and heroin are substances that cause the addiction. These substances have their respective effects on the person.

The person starts to use drugs as a form of recreation. Peer pressure and curiosity are cited reasons why a person seeks drug use. The drug development behavior starts it all in this process. Vulnerability and dependence creep in which slowed down the ability of the person to respond to the stimuli of the environment.

Preoccupation is the craving of the person to get the substance at the moment. It is the relapse dependence of the person to the usage of drugs. Preoccupation worsens when the person seeks the use of drugs to release the problems he is encountering in the environment.

On the other hand, drug intoxication is the craving to increase the dosage of drugs. The dosage of the recreation stage doubles up in the intoxication stage. It is this stage that the person will grow addict because of total dependence and tolerance of drugs.

The last stage is withdrawal. It is the process of getting away from the addiction. Most addicts cannot pass the stage of withdrawal. Death is the last resort of the hopeless addicts. Moreover, with the kind of substance addiction there is a specific mean to cure the problem.
