Keeping the Relationship Alive

In mentorship, the rapport and friendship of the mentor and the mentee is a big thing. The mentor cannot make a great impact on the life of the person if he will not join the aspiration of the mentee. On the other hand, the mentee believes in the ideals of the mentors; he believes in his experience and he trusts his mentor.

Although, time is important for the mentorship relationship but a limit should be set. It is important that you keep up with the mentor. Do not try to get the life of the person. He has his own life and you should consider that. Keep in touch in forms of email, or phone calls with the person. The relationship that you can make with the mentor means difference.

You talk to him how you would confer with him. Try to figure out the days you should meet. Set up the meeting. Set the objectives of the mentorship and try to make the outline of the ideas. It is very important that you know much of the schedules for the activities.

Respect is the most important gift that you can give to your mentor. Do not try to reject the ideas of the mentor without a full understanding and discussion of the matter. It hurts the ego of the mentor if you will not give him the right respect due to him. You may also set dates to send tokens to the mentor.

Constructive feedbacks, honest critics, and helpful thoughts are shared most if the relationship is alive. It is a rewarding one if you build your mentorship with on another on the basis of friendship.
