The home theater system without the sound is a half-complete home theater system. Video system must also have the best of audio system. THX surround sound system is also used to achieve the complete success of the home theater system.

Two of the high-end sound programs that are used are the 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound system. 7.1 uses 7 speakers plus a single subwoofer. On the other hand, 5.1 uses five speakers and an additional. There are other types of programs but these two are the best right now in producing high definitions sounds.

Setting up the 5.1 THX surround sound system:

Front Speakers: There are two speakers that you need to place in front. The left speaker and the right speaker can be elevated at ear level to get all sound impacts in the right direction.

Rear Speakers: The best place of the left and right rear speakers is the corners. You can put the speakers a foot higher than the normal setting ear level of the person. It will accent the sound produced by the front speakers.

Center Speaker: You can place the center speaker below or above the TV set. It will the sound directly proportionate to the person.

Subwoofer: You place the subwoofer at the pack of the TV or in front of the wall.

Setting up 7.1 THX surround sound system:

Front Speakers. Like the 5.1 surround sound system, you may place the speakers at ear level. It will aid in the localization of sound effects.

Center Speaker; You place it above or below the TV set or any video output device.

Surround Speakers. You may place the surround speakers 110 degrees facing each other. It will keep the sound impact more direct.

Rear Speakers. You can place the rear speakers above ear level.

Subwoofer. You may place the subwoofer at the wall in front.
