GE universal remote control codes are used to program the remote control and the component device and relate them to each other. GE universal remote control codes may come in 4 digits or three digits depending on the type of the device and the model of the brand device. These codes are very important to connect devices back to the device component and control the system.

In programming GE universal remote control, there are two ways on how to do it. Manual programming and coded programming can be done in perfect ways. For manual programming, follow the procedures:

1. Turn on the component device to keep its chips in power mode.
2. Using the button of the GE universal remote control, you press the CODE button. An indicator light is provided when the remote control is ready for the setup.
3. Choose the device that you want to configure. The indicator will continue to blink to signal readiness in receiving codes of the device.
4. You may now enter the digit codes – in three or four numbers. It is very important to follow the right code for the said model and brand of the device; otherwise it will not function effectively.
5. You may now use the GE universal remote control to turn the device off.

On the other hand, if you don’t have the code of the GE devices list, you can use the auto search system, as follows:

1. You need to follow the procedures of manual setup. When the indicator blinks, the device is ready for the code.
2. You continually click the POWER button for 250 times, at most to connect the remote control system to the chips and programs of the device.
3. You turn off the device using the remote control and everything will work perfectly.
