Teaching Teens the Visual Pattern
Visual focus is very important. Driving can be likened to ball games. A player needs to focus on the movement of the ball to grab it and make a goal or shoot. In driving, one needs to focus attention to the road to avoid collisions. A single fraction of time of losing road focus may lead to a crash or a collision.
In driver education, a new driver learns how to judge the road subjectively and objectively. The field of vision must be very wide to maintain road safety. There should no blind spots that can be a point of accident.
Areas to Check in Visual Pattern
In driving, you need to focus eyes on the road. Alternating eye movement can give you a good look of the entire road environment. You can easily search for possible hazards or potential risks that must be avoided. With the practice in visual pattern, your mind can do it without putting more pressure to consider the entire road environment.
Expand Horizons. Seeing the road ahead is very important; in driver education, one is trained on how to expand the horizon or the field of vision. No driver will ever stay safe on the road without seeing the road ahead of him; you cannot watch the environment nearer your area and maintain a good standing to avoid crashes, if there are at the next moment. By closely watching the road environment ahead of you, you can easily make an action if there are potential risks.
Slow Downs. From time to time, cars turn, slow down, make intersections, and stop. You need see all these actions in the road. If you suddenly bump on these situations, you will surely have a bad time. In the driver education, you need to watch for traffic signs, traffic lights, and even the communication from other drivers. By looking at the road ahead of you, you will be able to watch for these situations when they happen – and make the right reaction quickly and correctly.
Intersection. Fine, the rule of intersection speaks that you will be given the right first. However, there are other drivers who don’t understand what they learned in the driver education. When driving, you need to watch for cars that come out of intersections without any warning. It is impossible to stay safe if a car in the intersection is speeding fast to your area, but if you can stop at the right time, accidents can be avoided.
Road at the Back. Aside from much attention for the road ahead of you, you also need to keep a good focus on the road at the back of the car. There are other cars that are following you – and you need to watch out for their actions. In driver education, you learned how to respond to situations of the road at the back of the car.
Knowing what to do and watch out in the road is very important. In the driver education, there is no room for mistakes. You need to make accurate and precise actions and decisions.
